Soft99 Clarifying One Step Compound – Cut, Polish and Finish in One Product

A versatile all-in-one compound for professionals and serious enthusiasts. Clarifying One Step is designed to handle correction (scratch removal), polishing and high-gloss finishing with a single liquid, saving time and reducing the number of products and pads you need.

It's optimised for machine polishing but can also be used by hand on small areas.

How It Works

The abrasives break down as you work. Start with a wool pad to remove deeper defects such as scratches, orange peel and sanding marks. Keep polishing and the abrasives become finer, smoothing and refining the surface. If needed, switch to a foam pad with the same compound to finish to a high gloss.

How to Use

1. Shake well. Make sure the paint is clean, decontaminated and cool.
2. Apply a few pea-sized drops to a wool pad for heavier defects, or a foam pad for lighter marring.
3. Work a small section at a time, around 50 × 50 cm, starting with firmer pressure.
4. Keep working until the compound breaks down and turns clear, easing off the pressure as you go.
5. For the highest gloss, follow up with the same compound on a soft foam pad.
6. Wipe residue with a clean microfibre, check with a panel wipe, then protect with a wax, sealant or coating.
