Oakey Clay Block – Paint Decontamination

Removes bonded contamination. The Oakey clay block is used to remove dust, dirt, industrial fallout, acid rain and other contaminants from your car's exterior surfaces. Known as "claying", the process removes particles that stick to the clay when it is rubbed along the car's surface.

Safe on paint, glass and more. Claying is most commonly used on paint but also works on glass, fibreglass and metal. When done properly, claying is non-abrasive and will not damage your car. Afterwards, protect the decontaminated paint with a wax or sealant such as Fusso Coat Speed Barrier.

How to Use

1. Wash and dry your car thoroughly to remove as much dirt, grime and contamination from the surface as possible.
2. Spray water on the clay and the paint.
3. Slide the clay side gently back and forth over the lubricated area, using as little pressure as possible.
4. Add more lubricant if the clay sticks, and keep going until the surface feels clean and smooth.
5. Wipe the car with a clean microfibre towel.
6. Apply a coat of wax or sealant according to its instructions, to protect the paint in the tiny pores that were previously filled with contaminants.

Pro tip: work one panel at a time and keep the surface wet throughout.

Important Notes

• Do not use it directly on a dry paint surface.
• Do not use it on a hot surface – the clay may dissolve onto the paint.
• Use only water or car wash shampoo as lubricant – do not add other chemicals.
• Rinse with water after each use and store in the original box.
