Clean paint is the foundation of shine. In the old days, washing your car meant an old bucket, a dish sponge and a ratty towel, followed by a layer of wax. Detailing has moved on, and we now know that the best possible shine needs completely clean paint. Vehicles are exposed to a lot on the road, and iron particles from industrial fallout, rail dust and brake dust are just some of them. Iron Remover uses a specialised formula to dissolve and remove these ferrous contaminants.

Watch it change colour. Iron Remover contains no dyes, but it changes colour right before your eyes. When it contacts iron particles in your paint, a chemical reaction turns it from clear to purple/red – showing you have iron contamination and that it is being removed. The reaction is easier to see on lighter cars, but it works just as well on any paint colour. Before you invest time in compounding, polishing and protecting, start with a perfectly clean finish. Follow up with Master Cut Compound or Professional Polish as needed.

How to Use

1. Wash and dry the entire vehicle first to remove all loose dirt and grime.
2. Shake and spray. Shake well, spray the surface and allow to dwell for approximately 5–10 minutes. Do not let it dry on the surface – a light mist of water can keep it wet.
3. Agitate the treated surface with a soft wash mitt or microfibre towel used only for iron removal, to avoid cross-contamination.
4. Rinse the surface well with water, making sure all traces of product are removed.

Pro tip: once rinsed, follow up with a full car wash – such as Super Slick and Suds – before moving on to your other detailing steps.
