Poorboy's World Surface Prep Spray

Poorboy's World Surface Prep Spray 473ml – IPA Panel Wipe for Ceramic Coatings

Prep the surface before coating. Before applying a ceramic coating, it's very important to prep the surface. Polishing oils, previous wax layers, silicone-based dressings or trace amounts of car wash surfactants can all hinder your efforts. Poorboy's World Surface Prep Spray removes polishing residues, oils and surfactants, so your ceramic coating goes onto a truly clean surface.

Better bonding, longer protection. Ceramic coatings offer superior durability, and using Surface Prep beforehand helps your coating bond better for longer-lasting, ultra-durable protection. Use it on paint, glass, wheels, plastic, chrome and almost any exterior surface before coating.

Lubricated IPA formula. Surface Prep Spray contains IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and triple-filtered, de-ionised water, plus a quick-flashing lubricant to help prevent marring when wiping. It's cheap insurance for a strong coating bond. Some detailers mix their own IPA prep – if that works for you, keep doing it. Surface Prep is for those who want a ready-to-use product with no mixing, or who aren't sure of the right percentages. It also works well before EX-P Sealant.

How to Use

1. Work cool and ventilated. Apply to a cool surface only, in a well-ventilated area.
2. Spray. Working one panel or a 3' × 3' area at a time, spray a light mist directly onto the surface you will be coating.
3. Wipe with a soft microfibre towel.
4. Final wipe. Flip to a dry side, or use a separate towel, and give a few wipes until the surface is clear and clean.

Pro tip: strip old wax first with Strip Down Decon Pre-Wash.
