Why Ultra Glaco?

Built to last. Ultra Glaco uses Soft99's Fusso fluoropolymer technology – the same family of coatings behind their long-life paint protection. The result is a hard, slick layer that stands up to wipers, car washes and harsh weather far longer than ordinary rain repellents.

Get the Best Results

A rain repellent is only as good as the glass underneath it. Any old coating, road film or oil left on the windscreen stops Ultra Glaco from bonding properly and shortens its life.

• Before: deep clean with Glaco Glass Compound Roll On or Glass Compound Z – both remove old coatings and oil film so the new layer locks on.
• After: maintain with Glaco De Cleaner – a glass cleaner that tops up water repellency instead of stripping it.
• Side mirrors and reversing cameras: use Glaco Mirror Coat Zero, made specifically for mirror glass and camera lenses.

How to Apply Ultra Glaco

1. Wash and prep – wash the windscreen, then deep clean with Glaco Glass Compound Roll On or Glass Compound Z. Rinse and dry completely.
2. Apply – shake well, press the applicator onto the dry glass and spread in overlapping circles until the whole windscreen is covered.
3. Let it bond – leave for 5–10 minutes in warm weather or 15–25 minutes in cold weather, until a light white haze appears.
4. Buff off – wipe away all residue with a clean, dry microfibre towel until the glass is perfectly clear.
5. Drive – rain will start beading straight away and blowing off at 45–60 km/h.

Tip: apply in the shade on a dry day. Avoid rain and washing for the first 24 hours so the coating can fully harden.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Ultra Glaco really last?
Up to 12 months on the windscreen. Real-world life depends on how much you use your wipers, how often the car is washed and how well the glass was prepped. Side windows, which see no wiper wear, usually last the longest.

Why are my wipers chattering after applying it?
Almost always because some residue was left on the glass. Buff the windscreen again with a clean, dry microfibre and clean your wiper blades with a damp cloth.

Does it work at low speed?
Water beads up at any speed, which already improves visibility. Around town you'll still use your wipers occasionally – from about 45–60 km/h the airflow takes over and blows the rain off.

Can I use it on side windows, mirrors or plastic?
Yes on all exterior glass, including side and rear windows. For side mirrors and reversing cameras, use Glaco Mirror Coat Zero. For plastic surfaces such as helmet visors or headlight covers, use Glaco Blave.

Do I need to remove my old rain repellent first?
Yes. Old coatings stop Ultra Glaco from bonding. Glaco Glass Compound Roll On or Glass Compound Z removes them quickly.

What's the difference between water-repellent, water-resistant and waterproof?
Water-repellent surfaces actively push water away so it beads and rolls off – that's what Ultra Glaco does to glass. Water-resistant materials slow water down but can still get wet through. Waterproof means completely impervious to water.
