KOVAX Super Buflex Dry Sanding Discs 152mm – K-2000 and K-3000 Final Sanding Before Polishing

Innovative dry final sanding. KOVAX Super Buflex is an innovative dry sanding system used as the final sanding step before polishing. It works on a wide range of surfaces, including high solid and hard paints, fluorine clear, anti-scratch clear and waterborne paint. No water is needed, so set-up is fast and the workshop stays clean.

Shallow, uniform scratch – less polishing. Super Buflex leaves an extremely uniform and shallow scratch pattern, so compound polishing time can be largely reduced and the risk of rework drops sharply. It also lets you polish without eliminating the original paint texture – ideal for blending repairs into factory finish. It is the go-to disc for levelling clear coat and removing fine sanding marks without introducing new scratches.

Use it with the right pad. KOVAX recommends using Super Buflex with the matching soft female-female velcro KOVAX Interface Pad. It prevents sanding scratches caused by hard velcro, giving a better finish and shorter polishing time. For hand work on flat panels, choose Super Buflex Sheets 170×130mm.

How to Use

1. Fit the interface pad to your 150mm DA sander backing plate, then attach the Super Buflex disc.
2. Choose your grit. K-2000 (green) for levelling clear coat and removing finer sanding marks; K-3000 (black) for the final refinement before machine polishing.
3. Sand dry with light, even pressure, keeping the pad flat on the panel.
4. Wipe and polish. Remove dust and polish the panel to a high gloss.

Pro tip: going from K-2000 to K-3000 before polishing shortens your compounding stage even further.
