Soft99 Polishing Compound 1000ml – Step 2: Refine and Restore Gloss, Pro Size

The workshop-size bottle of Soft99 Polishing Compound, the second step in Soft99's three-stage machine polishing system. Ideal for detailers, body shops and anyone polishing several cars. This medium-cut, water-based compound removes the haze and micro-marring left by the cutting stage and brings the paint up to a strong gloss.

It also works as a standalone one-step polish on paint with light to moderate defects – wash marring, swirls, holograms and light scratches.

How to Use

This compound is designed for machine polishing.

1. Shake well. Make sure the paint is clean, decontaminated and cool.
2. Apply a few pea-sized drops to a polishing foam pad.
3. Work a small section at a time, around 50 × 50 cm. On a rotary, Soft99 recommends around 1500 rpm with a foam pad. If sanding marks remain from step 1, switch to a wool pad.
4. Use moderate pressure at first, then lighten the pressure as the compound breaks down.
5. Keep an eye on panel temperature to avoid overheating the paint.
6. Wipe residue with a clean microfibre and check your progress with a panel wipe.
