Soft99 Cutting Compound 1000ml – Step 1: Heavy Defect Removal, Pro Size

The workshop-size bottle of Soft99 Cutting Compound, the first step in Soft99's three-stage machine polishing system. Ideal for detailers, body shops and anyone polishing several cars. This water-based, high-cut compound removes deeper scratches, sanding marks, orange peel and severe etching quickly, while finishing cleaner than you'd expect from a heavy cut.

How to Use

This compound is for machine polishing only.

1. Shake well. Make sure the paint is clean, decontaminated and cool.
2. Apply a few pea-sized drops to a wool or cutting foam pad.
3. Work a small section at a time, around 50 × 50 cm. On a rotary, Soft99 recommends around 1800 rpm with a wool pad.
4. Start with firmer pressure at lower speed, then ease off the pressure as the compound breaks down.
5. Keep an eye on panel temperature to avoid overheating the paint.
6. Wipe residue with a clean microfibre and check your progress with a panel wipe before moving on.
