KOVAX Yellow Film Super Tack Discs 152mm – Orange Peel, Runs and Dust Nib Removal

Dry sanding film for fine finishing. KOVAX Yellow Film is a dry sanding film particularly suited to matting clear coat and sanding blending zones. It is also used to remove imperfections such as orange peel, runs and dust nibs, and for light scuffing before painting.

Flexible, long-lasting, super-fine. A flexible, soft, flat film backing gives a long-lasting, super-fine uniform finish that polishes out cleanly. A special anti-clogging treatment on the top layer keeps it cutting, and it works well on HS (high solid) clear. Super Tack attachment holds it firmly on standard backing pads.

Which grit?

• P800 – heavier runs and pronounced orange peel
• P1000 – medium defect removal, flattening paint texture
• P1200 – finer flatting of orange peel and dust nibs
• P1500 – final flatting before micro-finishing
• P2000 – ultra-fine refinement before polishing

How to Use

1. Attach the disc to your 150mm DA sander backing pad.
2. Choose the grit for the defect, starting no coarser than needed.
3. Sand dry with light, even pressure until the defect is level.
4. Refine with Super Buflex before polishing for the shortest compounding time.

Pro tip: for single dust nibs, a Tolecut 8-Cut sheet on a Tolecard is more precise than a full disc.
