Super Assilex KOVAX Sandpaper Discs Double Action NZ

KOVAX Super Assilex Dry Sanding Discs 152mm – K-600, K-800 and K-1200

The world's most advanced dry sanding system. Achieve a perfectly uniform base with KOVAX Super Assilex. Its original backing and unique grain structure give extremely shallow, uniform scratches across all applications, preventing problems later in the sanding process. From old paint to clear coat, Super Assilex handles it all.

Up to 50% less sanding time. Double anti-clogging technology and ultra-flexible bonding reduce sanding time by up to 50%. The consistent, fine scratch pattern polishes out cleanly, saving time at the machine stage. Designed for use with double action (DA) sanders.

Which grit?

• K-600 – flatting primer and removing coarser sanding marks
• K-800 – intermediate flatting, removing K-600 scratches
• K-1200 – fine flatting before clear coat or polishing

Who uses Super Assilex? Spray painters flatting between coats with a DA machine, refinishers removing dust nibs and imperfections in primer, detailers preparing painted panels for correction, and body shops wanting a faster cut with a finer, more consistent finish. For hand work, choose Super Assilex Sheets 170×130mm.

How to Use

1. Attach the disc to your 150mm DA sander backing pad.
2. Choose your grit for the stage of work, starting coarser and stepping up.
3. Sand dry with even pressure, keeping the pad flat.
4. Move on to Tolex K-1500 and Super Buflex for a polish-ready top coat.

Pro tip: don't skip grits – each step removes the previous scratch faster than jumping ahead.
